Jeff Garrison-Tate’s Bio:
Mr. Garrison-Tate has supported people with disabilities and their families for 35 years. Starting out his career as a Direct Support Professional, Mr. Garrison-Tate has served as a Special Education Teacher, a Community Services Program Director, Community Advocacy Organizer, Policy Manager, and as an Executive Director for an Early Childhood Education Program. He is one of the Founders of Community Now!, a statewide non-profit organization that advocates for community inclusion. Mr. Garrison-Tate is also a Founding Partner of the Institute on Person Centered Practices, a Certified Mentor Trainer with The Learning Community on Person Centered Practices. He is a frequent invited presenter at conferences, producer of an award winning documentary on the disability rights movement and Co-Founder of the Disability Cinema Coalition, a national organization supporting people with disabilities to be included in the film industry. He currently works at the Center on Disability and Development at Texas A&M University as a Program Director. He lives in Bryan, Texas with his amazingly supportive family.
